Kick Off Parties

A Shake-Up at Club Söda: an Interactive Murder Mystery Play for Adults
Norman Mayer Library
Friday, June 1 from 6pm - 8pm

Club Söda may not be the most popular bar in the Quarter, but their monthly Amateur Detectives Drink Free Night always draws a crowd. It's not the smartest night for someone to murder the owner; but, hey, maybe you'll be the one to crack the case! Featuring a script by local author Zach Bartlett. Sponsored by the Friends of the New Orleans Public Library.

Children’s Summer Fun & Reading Challenge Kick Off Party
Saturday, June 2 from 1pm - 3pm
Latter Library

Kick off your summer with an afternoon of fun, games, and refreshments. Everyone who registers to participate in our Summer Fun & Reading Challenge will receive a prize.

Summer Fun Events

We have hundreds of events scheduled throughout June and July for children, teens, and adults.

Just a few of the events include:

A murder mystery party, NOLA 300 trivia, and copyright and contract law workshops for musicians, for adults.

For teens, we have anime workshops, silent disco dance parties, puppet making classes with Miss Pussycat.

Mermaid storytimes, children's book author Johnette Downing, and the science of sound programs are planned for children.
