The Tulane University Pebbles Center and the Library have enhanced our partnership to present a weekly La hora del cuento virtual/Virtual Storytime read by guests affiliated with Tulane’s Stone Center for Latin American Studies.
This la hora del cuento virtual/virtual storytime is presented by Senior Professor of Practice in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Tulane University, Brittany Kennedy and her son Kepa, who are both native New Orleanians.
Brittany holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of South Carolina and works on Modernist Spanish and European culture. Her book, "Between Distant Modernities: Performing Exceptionality in Francoist Spain and the Jim Crow South," was published by the University Press of Mississippi in 2015. She teaches a wide variety of courses in the department, including language, Introduction to Spanish culture, as well as courses on Hispanic literature and film.
Kepa Kennedy is a student in the French program at Audubon Charter School. He really enjoys all things related to outer space, trains, and playing with their dog, Pivo.
