Community Puzzle Exchange
You know the feeling. You’ve finally completed your puzzle. . . and now what? Mod-podge it and hang it on the wall? Put it back in the box to sit in the closet until you move houses?
The New Orleans Public Library has a solution: the community puzzle exchange. Drop off your old puzzles and take new ones for free at nine of our Library locations around the city.
How do I use a community puzzle exchange?
The puzzle exchanges work like little free libraries. Take a puzzle, leave a puzzle. If you don’t have a puzzle, that’s ok. You can still take a puzzle and return it when you are done. You do not need a Library card, and, unlike other Library materials, there is no official checkout process.
What types of puzzles can I donate?
Donated puzzles should be in good condition, have all pieces, and should be contained in a box with a photo of the finished puzzle. All ages and levels of puzzle are accepted. Puzzles that can fit on Community Puzzle Exchange shelves can be donated there. Small donations can be made at any Library location with a Community Puzzle Exchange. Donations larger than 20 puzzles can be made at the Main Library or to the Friends of the New Orleans Public Library located in the Carriage House behind the Latter Library (5120 St. Charles Ave.) during book sale hours: Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10am until 2pm.
