Louisiana State Parks Passes

Louisiana is blessed with an abundance of natural beauty and fascinating history, and now you can explore all of that for free. All you need is your Library card.

Physical Park Passes are only available at the following Library locations:

  • Algiers Regional Library
  • East New Orleans Regional Library
  • Nora Navra Library

About the Pass

Each Park Pass is a physical ticket that allows one person or one vehicle a one-day access to any of Louisiana’s state park or historic sites. No tour buses or school buses are allowed.

The Park Pass must be presented to the park ranger/attendant upon entry.

The Park Pass allows a one-time entry and cannot be reused.

The Park Pass may only be used once per day, per site, per family.

Park Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

FAQ

Why can’t reciprocal borrowers check out Park Passes?

All Louisiana public libraries are eligible to participate in this program from the State Library of Louisiana. Reciprocal borrowers can contact the public library in their parish of residence about State Park Passes.

Do all Library locations carry State Park Passes?

No. Passes are only available at Algiers Regional Library, East New Orleans Regional Library, and Nora Navra Library while supplies last.

How many times can I check out a State Park Pass?

You may only check out one (1) State Park Pass every six (6) months.

Do the passes cover any other park fees or allow visitors to stay overnight?

No. The State Park Pass does not offer access to other state park amenities such as cabins or campgrounds, and does not allow visitors to stay overnight. In addition, the State Park Passes do not cover fishing licenses or camping fees.
